The rules that apply when you use the platform as a creator or supporter.

Last updated: Draft — pending professional legal review

1. About these terms

These Terms describe the rules for using the platform. They are a DRAFT placeholder pending professional legal review and must not be treated as final before launch.

2. Accounts and handles

Creators register with an email and password, and claim a unique public handle. Handles are public identifiers and may not impersonate others or violate reserved-name rules.

3. Payments and payouts

Supporter payments are processed by Stripe on the creator's connected account. Getboosted deducts a 2.5% platform fee from creator proceeds. Stripe also deducts its own processing fees, which vary according to its pricing and the payment method. Payouts to a creator's bank are handled by Stripe and require Stripe verification. When funds are shown as available for payout, creators manage manual or automatic bank payouts through their own Stripe Dashboard.

4. Gift purchases and refunds

Because a Gift is a digital act of support that may be displayed or made available immediately, completed Gift purchases are generally final and are not routinely refundable. This does not affect rights that cannot legally be excluded. Supporters should contact Getboosted about duplicate or unauthorised charges, technical failures, or another circumstance in which a refund is required by law. Payment disputes, reversals and refunds may reduce creator proceeds.

5. Acceptable use

Supporters and creators must not submit unlawful content or attempt to defraud the payment flow. The platform may apply moderation and suspension controls.

6. Termination and suspension

Accounts may be suspended for violations, fraud, or at the operator's discretion in line with platform policies. Final policy wording is pending review.

7. Disclaimers

These draft terms do not constitute legal, financial or tax advice. Liability and dispute clauses are pending professional review.
